Save on Max: Streaming Deal Cuts Price of Annual Plans
Max is the streaming home of The Last of Us and Hacks, and right now it’s running a deal for eligible US customers.
Max lets subscribers pay for its three tiers monthly or annually, and qualifying customers can currently get the first year of an annual plan at a discounted rate. With the deal, a year of Basic With Ads costs $80 instead of $100. That would equal a savings of $40 total over paying monthly for ad-based Max subscription (which is $10 per month) for 12 months.
Max’s ad-free plans, Standard and Premium, cost $140 and $170 with the offer. They usually go for $170 and $210. To qualify and get the discount via max.com, Apple, Roku or Samsung, you must be a new or returning customer. You can also snag the deal via Amazon Fire and Google Play, but only if you’re a new customer. Your subscription will automatically renew at full price when your discounted year is up, so you must cancel beforehand if you don’t want to pay the typical rate. This promotion ends on May 7.
If you aren’t sure that you want to commit to Max for a year, you can learn more about the streaming service by reading our review of Max, and our roundups of the best TV shows and movies on the platform. You can always sign up for a monthly subscription, which is anywhere from $10 to $21 depending on the tier, or consider getting Max bundled with Disney Plus and Hulu.
